Is There

Is there anything in your life that you haven’t asked for God’s help?
God wants to help you in every area of your life; Go to HIM for help, ask for help, ask for guidance!
No matter how long or short you’ve been with a situation, no matter if you’ve already asked for help, keep going to Our Lord and ask for HIS help and support; there is nothing too big or too small for Our Lord and HE definitely hears your cries.
Is there something we can all go to God for? Of course there is! So don’t be embarrassed for asking for help…we all need help!
Again I ask, is there anything in your life that you haven’t asked for God’s help?
Is There?

Hydrate Me

Psalm 63:1

earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.”

Become A Scholar

Life is like one big class room; You must become a student. Life is going to through tests at you, life is going to surprise you with pop quizzes, life is going to cause you to be silent in the library, life is going to cause you to cheer at the pep rally. There are rules, functions and concepts to be learned and applied. There are theories to be experimented and there is life to be lived.
It does not matter if you were a good student in (actual) school. If doesn’t matter if you dropped out of school. It doesn’t matter if you were top of your class or if you ditched ever class you could. Why don’t these things matter? Because God is always willing to teach you, in your life, with what you need, and supply you enough material and encouragement to keep you growing and stretching.
In order to keep growing and stretching, then you must be learning. When you start to seek God, when you start to seek direction, when you start to seek change in your life, God will create a lesson plan for you. There may be a conference that God is directing you towards because HE knows there is a message for your heart there. There might be a person at your church HE has waiting for you to meet, because that person may hold something special like a connection, a prayer, a reference, a word of encouragement that is just for you. There might be a blog post, a book, a movie, a song on the radio that God is causing you to experience because it has a comforting message that makes you understand your struggles so much better.
You have to become a student in this life, which is another way of saying…pay attention and seek!
God is always there to help and direct you; allow yourself to open up your eyes and heart to the chapters HE wants to cover for today. Become a student today…become a graduate tomorrow.

Surprises…

Even if you don’t see it right now, God is working on your behalf. Pray to God, which is just communication with a great friend, and watch for the cool surprises HE sends your way.
Just because you haven’t seen any cool surprises just yet, doesn’t mean they’re not coming. Let God work and watch for the surprise!

Already…

They say that most people have already broken whatever New Year resolution they set out at the beginning of the New Year. Already?! We’re 11 days in to a new start with a fresh attitude of hope and people find themselves already up to their old tricks. Hearing about broken New Year’s resolutions already doesn’t really surprise me. Why? Because as humans, we have habits that even the most determined minds will be tested.
Experts say that it takes at least 30 days to pick up a new habit. If you found yourself in the percentile of people who have already broken their New Year’s resolution…give yourself another chance, you haven’t even reached the 30 days to fully form that new habit!
Change, whether it be quitting something or adding something to your life will take time before it settles into the new you! In other words, don’t give up! God is so patient with us, that even if we mess up, HE is always there to help us once again; approach yourself with the same kindness. If you fall, pick yourself back up. If your new habit isn’t fully developed within 30 days, keep pressing forward. The goal for yourself should be to never give up! Change your perspective and soon you’ll be saying, I can’t believe I accomplished my goal already!!!

Scripture Sunday: Pray. Watch. Expect.

Psalm 5: 1-3
1 Listen to my words, Lord,
consider my lament (mourn).

2 Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.

Happy New Year!

A beautiful abundance of hope washes over the start of a New Year!
Hold on to hope.
Hold on to the fresh air that comes with ringing in the New Year; try your hardest not to exhale your hope as the months move on.
Make adjustments this year so it’s the year you want it to be. Let this year be filled with love, hope and peace!
Wishing you all the best!
