Nothing

There is nothing that can substitute God. Nothing. We seem to live in an age where there is help every which way you look; is this a good thing? Yes, but to a point.
God can bring healing and wholeness to you in vast and amazing ways; God is limitless.
God’s resources are limitless.
God wants to help you.
God wants to send you the answer to your problem.
God IS the answer to your problem.
God wants to make a way for you when your natural eye sees no way.
God is so good and HE wants the very best for you.
However, don’t ever think, that your solution comes without the hand of Jesus. What does this mean exactly? It means that you should always seek God’s hand in helping you with your problem, then you let HIM work in you or guide you to the answer.
Let me give you a small example.
There was a money tree that was being promoted for people to purchase. The money tree was actually kind of cute. As you listened to the sales pitch, you heard the back-story to this tree and how it is believed that if you have this money tree, your inviting in prosperity and wealth.
Who doesn’t want prosperity and wealth? We all do! But, there’s a problem. Why would I put my faith in a tree for prosperity and wealth? It’s a ridiculous notion to me to place my hope in a tree. If I want prosperity and wealth, I turn to God for help. I place my trust, hope, and confidence in God to take care of me, not some plant. So again I tell you, there is nothing that can substitute God. Nothing.

A message with Love

God only has good things to say. God is good. There may be times when we want comfort or recognition for our hard work and when we don’t receive it, we get down or depressed. There is no need to ever get down on yourself or get down on how other people are treating you. Why? Because outside forces should never substitute God, and God is the one who is always sending you a message with love.

God lifts you up and is always cheering you on. God has more good things to say about you than you could ever imagine. Turn your gaze towards heaven and listen for the comforting echoes of love that HE is sending you. Turn away from outside validation. Cut the approval addiction. All validation and approval is already within the wide open spaces that is your spirit…and it always has a message with love.

Piece of Kandee

Outcome

There was a situation in my life where I was concerned about the outcome. There was a looming piece of fear that was over me, because I may not have liked the end result to my situation; the outcome was either going to be in my favor or was not going to be in my favor.

As I prayed about and over my situation, the Lord spoke to my heart. The outcome was not the issue. God was more concerned with how I would handle the results of the outcome. The outcome is not as important as how you handle the outcome. Once I realized that everything would be okay regardless of the outcome, everything worked out. I had to understand that God is always with me and that everything ultimately would be fine. I had to understand that if this situation did not end up in my favor, then I would still be all right. Whatever you face, know that you will be all right. It’s all in the attitude that can help you in your…outcome.

Take 10

Try to take 10. 10 minutes of silence. In that silence, focus on important things. It’s so hard for us humans to just sit in meditation and clear our minds; we always have thoughts popping in uninvited, right?

So think/meditate with a purpose. Sit for at least 10 minutes and focus on your breath. Take those minutes and just keep telling yourself with each inhale and exhale that God loves you. Think about how gentle God is. Think about how forgiving God is. Think about how God made you with a purpose. Be kind to yourself in those 10 minutes.

Try to find time everyday to do this; first thing in the morning is what I recommend. If you can sit through 5 minutes worth of commercials every few minutes while watching your favorite TV show, then I think you could find 10 minutes in your day to reflect on some positive images.

Time to Take 10!

Bottoms Up! (Re-Post)

Recipe:

1 Clear drinking cup
3-4 Scoops of dirt
Clean water

Take your clear cup or drinking glass and toss in your scoops of dirt. Then fill clear cup or drinking glass with clean water. View content of glass: Do NOT drink. What do you see? Is the glass cloudy? Does the water look appealing to drink? Would you serve this drink to friends or family? No!
Think of the cup as your mind. The dirt represents mean, harsh, worried, negative thoughts. The clean water represents kind, encouraging, uplifting, positive thoughts. Now, even though you only have a couple of dirt scoops (negative words) in the glass, it still causes the glass (your mind) to be unappealing and not serve worthy. Even a couple of negative thoughts in your mind are causing you to not serve at your best. It’s only natural to have moments of stress that bring on negative or worried mindsets, but follow the rest of the recipe.
Take your glass that still has the dirt scoops in it and keep pouring clean water in it. What do you notice? You’ll find that as you keeping pouring the clean water into the cup, the cup overflows and overflows until the dirt gets lifted to the rim of the cup and flows out. Keep running the clean water long enough and you’ll find there’s no longer any dirt in the cup; the cup is crystal clear and ready to serve!
That’s the recipe to a healthy mindset: Keep pouring positive words and thoughts into your mind until the negativity flows out. Keep pouring, and when you think you don’t need to pour anymore….keep pouring. This is not an overnight recipe, but the results are delicious!
Cheers!

Rhythmic Freedom

I’ve heard that the bible uses the word Heart a total of 762 times. Then I heard that when you add an S to heart to make the word Hearts, you then add another 114 times it is found in the bible.
762 + 114 = 876
876 mentions of heart(s).
What does this tell us?
It tells us that we must pay special attention to our heart, what is in our hearts and the hearts of others.
Guarding our hearts does not mean that we place a wall or a block of ice around it. No. We must guard our heart to keep it pure and healthy. Keeping our hearts healthy means we are careful about how we take care of it; do we feed our heart love or do we feed our heart criticism? Do we place trust in our heart or do we place despair? Do we talk harshly to our hearts or do we talk gently? Are we forgiving, so are hearts can have rhythmic freedom or do we hold on to offensives and restrict its movement?  My Readers, take care of your heart. Take care of the hearts around you. You don’t have to live with a hard heart.
Eph. 1:18 “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.”

Lose Your Distractions

Today is a new day.
Don’t let your faults or any of your failures be a distraction.
Distractions are a trap.
Distractions are set up so you will lose your focus.
Don’t lose your focus.
Instead, shake off your faults and failures and keep moving forward with your eyes gazed straight ahead at where God wants to take you.
