Daily Domino



A domino effect happens in your life when you talk to yourself. If we realize it or not, we do talk to our self. All the things you say out loud or the thoughts and conversations you have to yourself, reflect what is in your heart and subconscious.

What you think turns into what you say, what you think and say turns into what you believe, and what you believe turns into how you behave, and how you behave turns into the quality of life that you are living; it’s a domino.

As humans, we can easily take what someone has said to us or about us and believe that to be truth, when it fact, it is not. Un-truths should not be part of your domino. Too many people are walking around with unsatisfied lives because they have let these un-truths become their reality. If un-truths can become your reality, then why wouldn’t the actual truth! Create reality with truth; that’s when you’ll see desired results in your life.

In Philippians 4:8 of the bible, it tells us how to start our domino:

8 “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Even in Romans 12, in the bible, it talks about renewing your mind! You must renew your mind daily! Why daily? Because life has many challenges and distractions that can easily pull us away from remembering what is true and real, so we must renew our minds daily to keep that pulling at bay.

No matter what state your daily domino is in, there is hope for change. Remember, everything is subject to change except God. There is never a hopeless situation.

The domino starts with a thought. I ask of you to start being mindful about your thought life. What are your thoughts saying, is it positive? Learning what the bible says about you is a great way to learn the truth and be renewed. Reciting scripture is a great form of affirmation. A great start at renewing your daily domino, is by doing affirmations. Affirmations will start to replace old thoughts patterns with new thoughts patterns…and your domino will start falling in the right direction.

Hope and Faith


In my recent studies, I found an easy interpretation for hope and faith. Faith is now. What you have faith in is a representation for the present moment; it is a present tense action. Action? Yes, you must actively exercise your faith through staying in the word, being positive, and not doubting. Faith believes, even though you haven’t seen anything in the physical realm.

Hope on the other hand is when you are holding on for something to happen; it is a future tense action. Hope is when you are expecting something to happen or turn around for the best. The dictionary describes hope as a verb and a noun. Hope is also the resting place for trust. When you hope, you must trust that the outcome will work out for your best purpose.  

You must act now in faith, so you can see hope on the horizon.

Testing


James 1:2-4

"Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well developed, not deficient in any way."



Actions speak louder than words. When you are facing a difficult situation, look at how your actions line up with your faith; in a testing moment, are you believing or stressing? It’s hard not to worry, but worry is not where our Lord wants us; HE wants us to pass the test by keeping our eyes fixed on HIM and HIS promises.

The past is done. We need to learn how to let go of the past and learn how to move forward.
Don’t keep bringing the past into your present. You cannot undo events that have happened, but you do have control over one area that concerns the past; your mind. Make peace with your past.
Accept your past as a stepping stone to make you better. The quote is spot on…by acceptance and forgiveness is where your past will change. You’ll never physically change the past, but you can change the past mentally. Open the door of acceptance, forgiveness, and peace to your past.
