Romans 12:2

Change is not going to happen unless you activity seek what it is that you need to change. All change starts with the way we think. Thinking is the gateway to attitude and behavior. Start paying attention to your thoughts and how your internal dialog runs in daily circumstances; You can only change what you become aware of, so pay attention. Start replacing your old thoughts with new thoughts; thoughts that will move you in a positive healthy direction that you want your life to go.

God knows everything, which includes the good, the bad, and the ugly. However, most people tend to only turn to God when they face something bad or ugly. What happened to the good?  God wants to be a part of our everyday lives; HE cares about everything, which includes the good stuff that happens to you too.

By reviewing the quote above, there is a realization that a crisis can be a turning point for someone to start developing a relationship with God. Sometimes our darkest moments can birth great enlightenment.

Don’t wait for a crisis! When you seek a relationship with God, you begin to learn HIS character, and your stability in yourself in rooted in HIM, which is critical when you face a moment of crisis (as the quote says).

When you know how much God loves you, when you know how God can turn everything around for your good, and when you know how to rest in HIS peace, you can face a “crisis” with less effects on your mind, emotions, and physical health.

Getting to know God, praying, spending time with HIM, reading the word, meditation, reading devotionals, are some examples of spiritual practice. Whatever practice that helps you develop a close fellowship with God is your spiritual practice. Don’t wait to develop your practice.

Think of spiritual practice as a way to prepare yourself for life…which includes the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Each person is created in the image of God. We all are God’s masterpiece. Know, that if you are here, breathing and living, then God has created you with all the perfection that is you; God doesn’t make mistakes.

For those who have ever been hurt by someone mocking them, listen closely. The person who mocks is lost and has no idea that when they mock, they are actually mocking our creator…oh, what a dangerous place to be.

Be happy with who God created you to be…and in return, never mock one of God’s creations.

Forward an act of kindness today. Sometimes people just need a little encouragement to feel as if they matter, and the truth is, they do matter. We all matter, so let’s treat each other with that level of respect.

Renewed Corner is all about helping those who want a little inspiration, encouragement, hope, and of course, a sense of renewal.

There is a reason as to why I write Renewed Corner. The whole reason for Renewed Corner existence, is because I want the reader to develop freedom in life, because I have experienced freedom in life. The Lord has given me time in my life to study. Study what? Life. Real life.  I want to be of service to you and your life…and the way I can do that, is by passing along my homework notes from my time in God’s classroom.

I continue to study; I continue to seek inspiration and lessons so that I can grow as a human being. Do I have it all figured out? No. I’m on a journey, just as you. As a new chapter begins with 2013, I encourage you to keep studying and keep seeking good things in life. Make it a goal to turn knowledge into revelation so that you can be better this year than you were last year.

Living in truth, peace, and love can free you from the pressure of worldly demands and unrealistic expectations. God’s love equals freedom. God’s class is always open and there is always an open seat…but it’s up to you to enroll.
