Words are Life

Proverbs 4:20-22

20 My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from your sight;
keep them in the center of your heart.
22 For they are life to those who find them,
healing and health to all their flesh.

Scripture Sunday

Ephesians 3:17-20
Amplified Bible (AMP)

17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,
18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];
19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do super-abundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]

Quote

"Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best. To be enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble."

Quote & Thought

"Action is the antidote to despair."
~ Joan Baez

Thought:
There are times when we need to take a step, a leap of faith, if you will.
When we take a step towards anything categorized as outside the box, we can either experience the door being open or the door being closed, either way, we don’t know which is which until we take that first step of action.
God’s grace is so good; you will feel the grace and the hand of God directing and leading you to where you are meant to be. So don’t despair. Take the first step in faith and see where the grace of God leads you.

Breath of Hope

Have you ever noticed how thick the air feels of hope when we enter into a new season? New Year’s is definitely the time of year for a fresh new start. But how do you get a fresh new start? Is a fresh start really dictated by a date on a calendar? No. God loves a fresh start, whether it be at the start of a new year, or the weeks after your New Year’s resolutions have been abandoned. God is always ready to work with you and help you get back on your feet.
Breathe in the thick hope-filled air and let it carry you through your days. Ask God for the help you need and give Him the New Year’s resolution list you’re working on; let you and HIM breathe in hope together.
Happy New Year!
