Already…

They say that most people have already broken whatever New Year resolution they set out at the beginning of the New Year. Already?! We’re 11 days in to a new start with a fresh attitude of hope and people find themselves already up to their old tricks. Hearing about broken New Year’s resolutions already doesn’t really surprise me. Why? Because as humans, we have habits that even the most determined minds will be tested.
Experts say that it takes at least 30 days to pick up a new habit. If you found yourself in the percentile of people who have already broken their New Year’s resolution…give yourself another chance, you haven’t even reached the 30 days to fully form that new habit!
Change, whether it be quitting something or adding something to your life will take time before it settles into the new you! In other words, don’t give up! God is so patient with us, that even if we mess up, HE is always there to help us once again; approach yourself with the same kindness. If you fall, pick yourself back up. If your new habit isn’t fully developed within 30 days, keep pressing forward. The goal for yourself should be to never give up! Change your perspective and soon you’ll be saying, I can’t believe I accomplished my goal already!!!

Monday’s Mantra

I believe that today is a new day
and
I am a new creature in Christ.

Scripture Sunday: Pray. Watch. Expect.

Psalm 5: 1-3
1 Listen to my words, Lord,
consider my lament (mourn).

2 Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.

Happy New Year!

A beautiful abundance of hope washes over the start of a New Year!
Hold on to hope.
Hold on to the fresh air that comes with ringing in the New Year; try your hardest not to exhale your hope as the months move on.
Make adjustments this year so it’s the year you want it to be. Let this year be filled with love, hope and peace!
Wishing you all the best!
