It is vital to have a soft heart. A soft heart will help you to receive
love. A soft heart will help you to be sensitive to those who are desperate to receive
love; and a soft heart allows you to extend love. Hard hearts can come from
pain, rejection, disappointment, loss, critical thinking or harsh environments;
But, God does not want our hearts to get hard, because a hard heart is a form
of bondage and God is all about us living in freedom and light.
Just because you have a big loving heart, that doesn’t mean that people
should treat you like a push over either. It is in my opinion that this is what
the above quote is referring to. Have a soft and open heart, but let your mind
be sharp to recognize ingenuous situations. Pray for the Lord to give you
wisdom and revelation about situations.
