Hound Dogs

Can you hear Elvis whaling one of his infamous tunes? You ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog! Who says it’s nothing being a hound dog, Elvis? Hound dogs have some serious skills; their overactive nose is baffling and far more superior then any human nose. Tracking, chasing, and pursuing are some descriptive duties for a hound; which is one reason police departments use them for special cases. Look to man’s best friend for some inspiration.
Are there things in your life that you need to hound? You have senses; granted they may not be as strong as a hound’s nose, but at least you don’t have to worry about fleas. Use your senses to pick up on things that you need to track, chase, and pursue.
Look beyond the trails when you’re doing your tracking too. What do I mean by this? Well. When we think of tracking, chasing, and pursuing something, it’s usually in the form of something seen and tangible. Look beyond the depths of the seen realm and start to track, chase, and pursue things like, hope, peace, forgiveness, and kindness.
Detect what needs to change, and sniff your way to a better you. You can even swivel your hips like Elvis while hounding your chases…top that hound dogs!
