Stations of the Cross: 3

Stations of the Cross
Station Three:
Jesus Falls the First Time

Jesus falls. HE was weak. HE had no rest. HE was being tortured and pushed while people where just watching every step…even the fallen one.
Have you ever fallen or failed? Has the pressure of life left you feeling pushed down or small? Do you question how you’re going to pick yourself back up? Have you ever felt like your fall was watched by your inner circle, yet instead of them helping you- all they did was gossip about it?
Life can have a way of making us tired and weak; this is why our daily walk should be focused on pure and noble things. When you have the truth rooted in your heart, the falls of life won’t seem like such a core shaker. You must get to know who you are in the eyes of our Lord.
Jesus never gave up…and neither should you. Get up! Don’t look at your situation…look at God.
Scripture:
James 1:2-4
2  “Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.
 3Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.
 4But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.”

Isaiah 40:31

“But the people who trust the LORD will become strong again.
They will rise up as an eagle in the sky;
they will run and not need rest;
they will walk and not become tired.”
