Stations of the Cross

I’m going to take you on a journey. We will be examining the Stations of the Cross. There are 14 stations to the cross, but I will review the first 12. We will look at one station at a time, so that we are able to meditate, reflect, and learn from that station. We need to realize that Jesus faced many challenging things that brought so much beauty to our lives today. Let’s examine what HE faced, how HE handled HIS challenges, and how we can apply those teaching moments to help us in our walk. When we pray, we must deeply recognize that the Lord understands us, and has experienced firsthand what we’ve experienced. Let’s get instruction on how to handle our crosses from the one who had the first cross.

Stations of the Cross
Station One:
Jesus is Condemned

What does condemned mean? It means to blame or to be found guilty; there is unfavorable or disapproving action/reputation against you.
Yes, Jesus was condemned. Can you imagine what that was like for Jesus? The purest heart was condemned, and in fact, it was anticipated. Jesus was wrongly and unjustly blamed, and yet, no one stood up for Jesus. Jesus quietly took the condemnation.
What we can learn: Trusting God’s justice
Man may make mistakes and wrongly condemn a person, but let God fight your battles. God is a God of justice. God is fair, and if you trust HIM, HE will use your trial for good.
I believe there is a time to stand up for yourself or a time to stand up for someone, but notice how our Lord handled the situation: HE took it quietly. I think HE took it quietly because HE completely trusted God’s plan.
Is there an area in your life, where someone is being unfair to you?
Are you feeling unfavorable? Are you feeling disapproved of?
Do you feel like nobody stands up for you, or has your back?
Are you trying to fight your own battles, instead of being quiet and letting God work to bring justification?
Remember, God can fight our battles much better than us. God sees when you are being unfairly treated. Let God help you.
Scripture: Isaiah 30:18
“Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!”
